Job Title: Senior Monitoring Manager 
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (09:00-17:00) 
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 and up to 20% bonus and benefits 
Location: Hybrid working from London

We’re building an amazing team and we’re looking for a hardworking and driven Senior Assurance Manager to support us on our journey.

Our Team

As we evolve our structure to better serve our customers, this role will assist the Head of Compliance in leading, driving and providing assurance that the business is operating in a compliant manner in respect of all regulatory requirements, to support positive customer outcomes and help deliver cultural change.  To be a key member of the 2nd line team, providing accurate and commercially focussed assurance.

What you will be working on:

  • Working with the assurance team and Head of Compliance to create, implement and deliver the annual monitoring plan.
  • Building, managing and monitoring activity and routine reports, raising awareness and adherence across the business.
  • Facilitating, continually improving and managing KRI dashboards and departmental MI, assurance results and liaising and supporting the business on outcomes and actions required.
  • Producing MI for bank wide Committee’s on assurance activity and progress against the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
  • Day to Day Management and support of Assurance Team colleagues.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong focus on consumer outcomes.
  • Experience of producing a robust Compliance Monitoring Plan.
  • Experience of maintaining Compliance Universe documentation and completing a regular assessment of the universe, in order to ensure that the Compliance Monitoring plan provides appropriate levels of assurance.
  • Experience of drafting terms of reference, defining the scope of reviews and developing test plans.
  • Experience of undertaking thematic reviews on a wide range of regulatory topics and completing routine monitoring activities.
  • Experience of working within financial services environment.
  • Experience of working with regulatory requirements, including the Consumer Duty. 
  • Strong knowledge of the PRA/FCA Handbook including BCOBS, MCOB and CONC.
  • Excellent working knowledge of legislation and regulations.
  • Experience of managing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Is delivery and customer focussed.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting targets.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively to meet changing priorities and demands.
  • Ability to interpret data and information to highlight opportunities and minimise risk.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills.
  • Proven track record in effective facilitation and communication at multiple levels.
  • Is commercially astute.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at an appropriate level.
  • Is analytical, pragmatic and systematic in approach to problem solving.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Previous experience of managing other compliance professionals.
