The successful candidate will project manage every aspect of the design, build and launch of exciting new multi-sport venues - including social impact initiatives. 

We're looking for an energetic, passionate and experienced Project Manager. One who has a track record of building great relationships with partners and suppliers whilst ensuring they deliver the scope to quality and budget, in tight timescales.

You'll need to be thoroughly organised, process-minded and drive rapid progress by avoiding problems in advance. You must be a good people-motivator, and able to cut through complexity.

But we also want you to have lots of positive energy, and bring our purpose and values - including a good sense of fun(!)

Strategic and entrepreneurial

Responsibilities 

  • Developing strategies and plans to achieve project outcomes and benefits, our mission and strategic aims
  • Contributing to venue business ideas, social impact Initiatives. planning and budgeting
  • Refining governance model & process

Experience and qualities

  • Building effective relationships with a variety of strategic partners and suppliers
  • 'Creative 'big picture thinker' focused on the long-term goals with pragmatic, solution focus
  • Leading private, public and 3rd sector partners and suppliers
  • Supporting programme and portfolio planning

Skills and knowledge

  • Presenting concise reports to executive level upward
  • Leading multi-stakeholder planning sessions
  • Proficiency with financial forecasts and budgeting
  • Knowledge or familiarity with some of the following 'sectors' would be a plus...

Project Management and Leadership

Responsibilities 

Ensuring succesful delivery of all aspects of a multi-activity venue, against business case(s) and overall programme plan.

  • Drive the structure and delivery of our overall objectives, that each venue will enable
  • Lead high performing teams to deliver planned benefits to customers and communities by delivering:
  • Physical site, infrastructure & equipment
  • Operational team, processes & systems
  • Core offerings (all activities; food & beverage; other CX; amenities)
  • Community impact projects/initiatives.
  • Ensuring effective quality assurance
  • Supporting the Programme manager (e.g. plans, budgets, benefits managment)

Experience and qualities

  • 4 yrs (minimum) as a Project Manager
  • Accountable for complex, multidisciplinary projects
  • Led several multi-party projects or workstreams
  • Managed contracts and suppliers (ideally multi £m)
  • Maintaining exceptional standards

Skills and knowledge

  • Fully proficient in applying project and programme management methods pragmatically. (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2; RIBA, BIM)
  • Highly proficient with project planning and collaboration tools (we use Monday.com) or MS Project; MS 365/Teams; Miro.
  • Highly experienced in budget, risk and change control
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Structured thinker and problem solver.
