We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager (SM) to manage and expand our Manchester based sales team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take their management experience to the next level, make an impact on a fledgling team and drive development through piloting new ideas. Over the last 18 months the department has grown from 1 to nearly 100 and we are looking for leaders to help us successfully scale even further and build our brand awareness and headcount across the north. 

The SM will report into our Head of Business Development and work alongside the team of SMs across the UK. As a senior leader within the department, you will be at the heart of driving sales strategy, performance, employee development and retention. The SM will also play a vital role in building relationships across the wider teams in Cardiff, Brighton, Edinburgh and London.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing continued mentoring and coaching as you build your team and expand the office
  • Working closely alongside the Head of Business Development and Head of Sales in developing strategies to drive performance 
  • Working closely with our Talent Team on sourcing, interviewing and onboarding talent for your team
  • Reviewing team performance and effectiveness through analytics and pipeline management
  • Balancing your teams targets and objectives with the broader business objectives and priorities
  • Agreeing and setting daily/weekly targets and KPIs for your team
  • Collaborating with other SMs on best practice, process improvements and knowledge sharing

What you need:

  • 2-5+ years experience of managing a B2B sales teams (telesales preferred)  
  • A comprehensive understanding of SMEs and their financial workings
  • Data driven mindset and ability to analyse funnel and performance data 
  • Ability to motivate and drive performance within your team
  • Experience sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and training talent
  • A track record of results driven commercial leadership
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by example in telesales
