The Role
We deliver more than just skills training, and are looking for mentors who share our vision for a community of lifelong learners pursuing work that they love. As an Instructional Associate for one of our immersive programs, you will work directly with the students outside of class assisting them with homework and projects:
Responsibilities

Deliver instruction, including teaching, advising, and content implementation (up to 25% of total lesson material).
Assess student learning.

Meet consistently with students to review and address student progress and needs via HW/ project review and assessment

Work cohesively with the instructional team and student success teams to inform and report student achievement and progress and facilitate extensions for students struggling or transcending expectations.

Proactively identify and execute opportunities to build positive classroom culture and GA community engagement.

Practice a growth mindset by setting professional goals to develop instructional practices, classroom culture techniques, and content development in the tech discipline taught.Responsible for students receiving accurate, proactive, meaningful, and prompt feedback on their progress.

Prioritize and drive student achievement to established learning objectives and graduation requirements. Guide students through the development of real world projects that will showcase their skills.

Maintain proactive and timely documentation of student data and progress tracking in centralized course tracker.

Qualifications:
Must Haves:

At least three months of relevant professional experience.

Domain expertise in topics taught in the course.

Expertise in specific technologies taught in the course.

Desire to guide the growth and development of the newest generation of industry professionals.

Demonstrated success as an IA (exceeds expectations of IA role for two or more quarters/cohorts) or experience teaching, coaching, mentoring, or building a team.
