About the role:

We are looking for a part-time hardware assistant to support a busy materials and build room team. The team are responsible for building, configuring, packaging and shipping our food waste technology to our customers around the world, as well as for receiving hardware components and returned systems.

The Hardware Assistant will work within a small, focused team on a part-time basis and will be responsible for carrying out administrative and technical support tasks for both the hardware and materials team.

The role will be around 2 – 3 days / 16 – 25 hours per week. We can be flexible with the work pattern which will be discussed at interview.

This is an office based role and all work will be based in our Old Street office.

Requirements

• Handle hardware shipments, including receiving, inspecting, and storing hardware
• Order inventory of hardware components and supplies
• Order returns of defective or damaged hardware
• Manage hardware laboratory space, including equipment maintenance and ordering supplies
• Do spot checks on hardware products to ensure quality and compliance
• Assist the hardware team with carrying out hardware quality investigations
• Other related tasks as assigned.

This role would suit a reliable and self-driven individual who enjoys using their initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.

You should hold an interest in hardware, materials, engineering and supply chain.
