ROLE: COMMUNITY SENIOR MARKETING EXECUTIVE
We’re looking for a teammate to join us full-time as a Community Senior Marketing Executive. Code First Girls offer family-friendly, flexible working arrangements. We have an office in London (near Liverpool St) offering hybrid working/remote working (depending on your location) with in-person team meetups in London approx. twice a month plus ad hoc community events.

Code First Girls is one of the largest providers of free coding courses for women and non-binary individuals, having trained 120,000+ women and delivered over £85 million worth of free technology education. Our community of employable coders, instructors, and mentors is one of the largest and most diverse globally. We continue to help more women and non-binary candidates to break into and excel within the industry by linking amazing talent with businesses. Our mission is to continue to increase our community and company partners, giving more women the opportunity to learn new skills and pursue great careers in tech. With this major growth spurt, we are on the lookout for some amazing people to join our team.
ABOUT YOU & THE ROLE
As Community Senior Executive, you will take a starring role in helping shape and support the CFG member community. You will be involved in our Ambassador Programme, and support the launching of a new community network platform. You will also work alongside our Community Manager to create an exciting schedule of events to bring our community together in person and online. Most importantly, we are a fun, mission-driven company, and want our community network and events to reflect the CFG brand.
We are looking for candidates who have a passion for driving social impact and a desire to change the technology industry. You will be excellent at communicating, thinking innovatively and be brimming with ideas to grow and build engagement with our CFG community members.
We are a fast-paced business and as a start-up, a ‘roll up your sleeves and dive in’ attitude goes a long way, combined with an innate ability to adapt to change in your role. We want someone who isn’t afraid to suggest new things, is eager to learn and comes with loads of ideas as to how to create different ways to enhance our community experience through tech, networks and events.
SOME THINGS YOU’LL BE WORKING ON:
AMBASSADORS & COMMUNITY MEMBERS
- Be one of the lead contacts for Ambassadors - building one-to-one relationships, supporting comms, events, roundtables and placing Ambassadors for paid opportunities
- Support the launch of our regional events schedule and work with ambassadors and members with hosting
- Develop a process for capturing community member stories and highlights
- Link in with extended community networks inside companies and partner organisations to increase the awareness of CFG and promote the women-in-tech cause.
COMMUNITY EVENTS
- Assist with the building of community events schedule - both in-person and online - to engage members and enhance member benefits and sense of community
- Support organisation of large-scale events such as our CFGdegree graduations and Code Fest (community in-person event & conference) - planning to execution
COMMUNITY NETWORK
- You will be involved in the development and activation of our community network platform
- Work with the Community Manager and wider team on the project plan and timelines (including design, customer support, moderation, and linked communications)
- Ongoing engagement with the community and support platform management
OTHER ROLE INFO & BENEFITS:
- Salary: £28k - £32k DOE + bonus
- Fully-funded place on the Code First Girls CFGdegree (market value £10,000)
- Free CFG courses (valued at £685 each)
- 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
- Additional 10 days off (incl. Bank Holidays) with our end of year office close & break
- Hybrid & flexible working: we primarily work remotely, but anticipate hybrid & flexible working with an office base in London
STEPS IN THE PROCESS:
