We partner with the brands of tomorrow, future-focused and growing companies, from household names like Guinness, Dettol, and Primark to the next generation of big brands like Nando's, Fever-Tree, and Mission Tea.
We're an ambitious team of almost 100 people and not stopping there. We're growing fast and so we're looking for a new Social Media Manager to join our team.
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to take on the responsibility of managing and growing the community for Guinness, by managing and developing their brand tone of voice, and creatively finding opportunities to make their brand more magnetic in culture.
✏️ What you'll be doing:
Across Guinness:
- Copywriting: acting as the voice across the brand channels, writing copy across community responses as well as for captions on our social posts and paid social ads.
- Community Management: owning the strategy for getting into culture through building with community, responding to any comments which give the brand an opportunity to do so.
- Seeking out opportunities to be reactive, through regular monitoring of the platforms, pitching and creating content reacting to social trends and cultural commentary.
- Content ideation and platform strategy: Working with our Strategy, and Creative teams to ensure we are producing best in class, social-first content.
- Content creation: using your understanding of Guinness’ audience, culture and platforms to write text-only tweets to scale their cultural presence.
- Oversee and advise on the distribution of all organic content. Using your sophisticated understanding of the platforms to advise and review when, where, and how often content should be shared to achieve strategic goals.
- Utilising your expertise to ensure all paid and organic content strategically complements one another and is delivering the results required.
- Define how clients strategically connect with their audience through community management.
- Owning the strategic ideation of influencer campaigns, identifying key opportunities to partner with creators and working closely with Social Media Managers to execute effectively.
- Setting the standard for reporting. Driving creative development by working closely with Account Director’s and Strategists on these reports that clearly communicate the value of our work.
- Build meaningful relationships with our clients, establishing their trust in us as social media experts through industry-leading output.
- Copywriting: acting as the voice across the brand channels, writing copy across community responses as well as for captions on our social posts and paid social ads.
- Creating a technically high-performing Social Media Manager team, through education, teaching sessions and on-account coaching or mentoring.
- Ensuring account teams, especially Social Media Managers understand the standard of work they should produce and that those standards are reached.
- Spotting opportunities to improve Social Media Manager output through optimising process, introduction of new tools, agency communication, etc.
- Owning the personal and professional development of Social Media Managers through the running of weeklies, monthlies and performance reviews.
- Responsible for leading the Hiring process for new prospective Social Media Managers on the team, from phone screeners, task assessment to role offer.
👀 Who we're looking for:
- We are looking for someone who has an inherent knowledge of authentic Irish culture. To help grow this iconic Irish brand and speak to its native audiences, you need to be able to share insights on cultural behaviour, nuances and social trends and be able to craft social content with an authentic Irish voice. This may mean you are from Ireland or have strong personal links to it.
- You have 3-5 years of experience working in social media, agency side
- You have demonstrable skills in copywriting on social media
- You are a creative thinker: able to work both independently and collaboratively on ideation for content across social
- Your decisions are driven by insights, and analytics
- You have a passion for the creative cultures related to beer, pub culture and sports
- Brilliantly personable: communication is the lifeblood of our business. You love working with people and have a natural ability to handle challenges with charm
- You love brands and social media: you're fascinated by brands, how they market themselves and use social media to do this. You are naturally curious about the developments of the digital world and excited by its potential.
- You have pride in your work: we treat our client's brands as our own and are meticulous about our approach. You will take real pride in what you deliver and always strive for perfection
- You have real drive and ambition: you'll be constantly adapting to the ever growing world of social, and we need people who have the mindset of growth as well as the ambition to get there
