To help our growth we are looking for an excellent Quality Assurance (QA) engineer. You will be involved throughout the development lifecycle of the GoHenry technical team. In particular, your responsibilities will be within the quality assurance of software development and deployment. You'll be involved in the creation of business requirements inputting the test scripts and test scenarios to ensure business requirements can be effectively tested and deployed. You will be working closely with the technical team and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are being met to the correct and expected quality. You will also need to conduct automated and manual tests where necessary to ensure the software created is fit for purpose. There is also the opportunity to work on Greenfield projects where you will be involved in the full software development and delivery life cycle of the new projects.
This position will require a great understanding of our product and services, very strong attention to detail, and good communication skills.
What you’ll do:
- Work as part of cross-functional, friendly agile tech teams to ensure quality is driven into the development process
- Opportunities to work on Greenfield projects from the early stages.
- Research, recommend and implement tools as needed with the goal of increasing automation
- Proactively bringing issues and problems to the attention of the team
- Documentation and maintaining a log of all test cases and test results
- Ensure that all tests are executed and give regular feedback to the team on the status of quality
- Contributing toward predictable delivery of quality releases
- Work closely with the Tech, Product and Ops team
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- 3+ years of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
- In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, best practices & Software development life cycle
- Proficient with bug tracking and test management toolsets to support development processes
- Experience in Web Application (WAPP) and Mobile Application (MAPP) testing.
- Experience in bug tracking systems, with a preference for in-depth knowledge of JIRA
Advantageous:
- Exposure to automated testing tools such as Waldo and Cypress
- Experience with Payment & Banking Processes
- Ability to work with relational databases such as MySQL
- Experience working in a continuous integration or continuous delivery environment using Bitbucket, GIT or equivalent tools
- Experience in Cross-browser and device testing.
- Understanding of coding enterprise applications within Java, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other languages
- Experience testing RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of Postman and Swagger
- Testing enterprise applications deployed to cloud environments such as GCP
