The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior fee-earner looking to further develop their career or experience by joining SK in a management capacity for our Private Client Property team in either our Birmingham or Bath office. As a senior member of the team, you will play an integral part in the team. Through leadership and demonstrating vision and empowering others, you will play an integral part in delivering the teams agreed strategic goals and to ensure that those strategic goals are understood, and their implementation supported throughout the team, and wider firm as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
General duties include, but are not limited to:
- Effectively manage an individual caseload, and delegate to and provide supervision to more junior members of the team.
- Foster relationships with existing and new clients. Ensure that all clients receive an excellent service.
- Work in a collegiate and collaborative way within an immediate Team and wider Firm environment.
- To carry out your work for both colleagues and clients to the highest possible standard, having regard to the Firm’s standards, procedures.
- Ensure that team member experience is positive through good accessibility to effective pastoral support and engendering a culture wholly in line with our commitment to the principles of the Mindful Business Charter and Core Values.
- Work with the Business Development & Marketing Team in order to develop the Firm’s reputation and client base.
- Feed into the budget process annually, and take responsibility for the financial performance of the Private Client Property Team. You will also work with our pricing champions to promote best practice throughout the team.
- Regularly monitor individual and team performance, liaising with our Operational Teams as appropriate (HR, Finance, IT and Marketing & BD).
- Ensure that the team comply with auditing, quality assurance and risk management procedure, both internally and externally.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be a Senior Solicitor or Partner with management experience in a well-regarded firm.
The successful candidate should:
- Have the ability to engage constructively with people, with good ambassadorial skills
- Have excellent communication skills, addressing any potentially difficult conversations promptly and with skill
- Be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances
- Be willing and able to exercise judgement and take risks
