Trinny London is looking for a Head of Design to lead, manage, and grow our small (but mighty) design team. This role will ultimately take our brand and design to the next level!

Reporting to the Creative Director you will support them in cultivating and improving our internal design processes for the team and be a key contributor to providing guidance on output and facilitating collaboration. You will mentor our team of Art Directors and ensure the highest standard of asset execution. Working very closely with our Head of Video Production to ensure succinct development of creative assets.

The Head of Design will have a broad oversight over creative design concepts, projects, and workflows. You’ll support multiple projects to completion, providing the resources and even-keeled management your team needs to consistently deliver best-in-class work.

As Head of Design you’ll also function as the creative point person for channel leads, ensuring a healthy relationship with frequent updates and team collaboration to create beautiful and effective creative assets.

The Role

Your key responsibilities are:

- Full supervision of Design and Art team.
- Bringing the brand's creative direction to life through contemporary design assets

- Guiding the design team to make sure they follow best practice and efficiency.

- Working closely with the Project Team and proactively aid improvement and setting the right processes for the Design Team.

- Supervising delivery on the evolution of briefs from concept to delivery, ensuring the final execution is of the best design quality.

- Be enthusiastic about learning design methodologies to help think, organise and structure the future of our brand.

- Be able to communicate with stakeholders, in particular with the Video team, Lifecycle, Editorial, NPD, Retail, Performance and wider business stakeholders.

- Stay up to date with design and market trends to adapt ways of working and influence design direction.
- You are structured in your approach to executing a succinct visual approach and direction.

Requirements

The essential skills and experience required to succeed in this role are:


- You have an eye for premium execution.
- You are in touch with the latest and greatest in visual/graphic expression.
- Head of level within agency/brand managing teams in design, working collaboratively from research to delivery.

- Experience managing and mentoring designers, in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience leading design development and strategic thinking.

- Representing design on checkpoints and other internal meetings, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts.

- Experience articulating and synthesising design problems and solutions to cross-functional team members.

- Experience being hands-on when needed to help your team and our partners achieve the desired outcomes.

- Strong ability to provide clear direction with timely, supportive and regular feedback.

- Excellent verbal, written, presentational, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Strongly involved in mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills to create a collaborative and progressive team culture.
