The Biodiversity Consultancy is looking for a full-time Office Assistant to be responsible for handling clerical tasks in our office in Cambridge. You will be handling incoming phone calls and other communications, greeting clients and visitors, as well as managing files, updating documents, and performing other general office clerk duties and errands.

To be a successful candidate, you will need the ability to write clearly and be proficient with word processing applications. A pleasing personality with strong communication skills is also highly valued. This role will be solely office based in Cambridge.

This will be a fixed term contract for 12 months. Near full-time hours will also be considered.  

Role:

The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.

Responsibilities:

-       Monitoring level of office supplies

-       Supporting with office organisation & maintenance

-       Handling incoming calls and other communications in a timely manner

-       Perform receptionist duties when required

-       Providing support to Consultants

-       Managing office suppliers, ensuring they align with our greening policy and are competitive

-       Troubleshooting basic IT requests for Consultants, before passing onto our IT provider if required

-       Formatting documents

-       Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Skills & Requirements:

-       Working knowledge of office equipment

-       Proficiency in MS Office

-       Excellent written & verbal communication skills

-       Analytical abilities & aptitude in problem-solving

-       Confident in IT troubleshooting basic requests

Experience:

-       Previous experience in an office environment

-       Experience in providing customer service

-       Multi-tasking a variety of tasks in an office environment

-       Experience using Office 365.

Salary:

-       Circa £25,000 per annum
