About Unmind

Unmind is a workplace mental health platform. We empower employees to live more fulfilling and balanced lives by changing the way organisations around the world think about mental health. We believe that everyone has the right to a healthy mind – because we all have mental health, all of the time – and we’re striving to create a world where mental health is universally understood, nurtured, and celebrated.

Having closed our Series B funding in April 2021, and looking ahead to our Series C, we're excited about the next stage of growth which will enable us to deliver on our mission to improve the mental wellbeing of ten million people in organisations around the world. We’re a fast-growing team with over 190 Unminders across London, Sydney and New York and would love for you to join us as our new Community Specialist.

Uniting Behind Uniqueness

At Unmind we believe in “Uniting Behind Uniqueness” based on the belief that humans are endlessly unique and their opportunities are equally important. In order to fulfil our mission, we want our team to represent the diversity of our users which is why we’re committed to building an inclusive workplace where we encourage everyone to bring their whole selves to work. We want to foster a culture where everybody feels included, heard, and equal – regardless of age, disability, gender, neurodiversity, marital or parental status, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.

If there are any adjustments we can make that would help improve your experience with Unmind, please do let us know when you apply or email us at [email removed - click apply for more details].

The Role – Community Specialist

At Unmind we have ambitious plans to change the perception of mental health. In order to support our ambitions we need a network of high quality practitioners who feel engaged, respected and supported.

Why the role is important?

At Unmind, we are dedicated to providing the best-in-class service to practitioners, as well as their clients. As a Community Specialist, you would be an advocate for our community of therapists and coaches within the company, ensuring their voice and perspective is heard. This role is key to learning more about our practitioners, and how we can continue to improve our service.

Who will I be working with?

You’ll not only be an integral part of our Practitioner Network team, but you’ll also work in close contact with the Product Support team, the Science team, and and Product Development team.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Build relationships with the wonderful members of Unmind’s practitioner community.
  • Respond to enquiries via email, live chat and calls from both practitioners and end users.
  • Onboard new practitioners, including: vetting calls, checking documentation and supporting practitioners to use Unmind.
  • Support the Science team to grow Unmind’s practitioner network by conducting industry research for new markets.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Unmind policies and how best to use the Unmind platform.
  • Ensure that practitioner documentation is correctly stored and up-to-date.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of new session requests and ongoing sessions to ensure all sessions are running smoothly.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the practitioner community in order to provide educated recommendations to end users searching for practitioners.
  • Provide and collate community data on request and be able to draw some conclusions from the data.
  • Support the Community team with new projects.

Skills and Experience

We encourage you to remove education from your CV upon application as qualifications are not a driving factor in our decision making and we are committed to tackling educational inequality. We firmly believe that no one is the finished article and that there should be learning in every role you do. However, some experience in the following is important for this position:

Role-specific

  • Digital literacy
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication
  • Empathetic approach to problem solving
  • Quick learner and able to work independently with support

Company-specific

  • Hungry to make Unmind the global category leader of workplace mental health.
  • Comfortable working in an environment of rapid growth, constant change, and lots of unknowns.
  • Passionate about mental health, tech-for-good, and generally improving people’s lives.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively with other teams.
