Head of Product

⭐About the role:

Houst, an exciting London-based start-up, is set to transform the way we engage with the world. We are seeking a dynamic Head of Product, a true artisan, eager not only to strategise and perfect our product, but to get stuck in and build it. Our ideal candidate is a craftsperson at heart, preferring to chart new territory and pioneer fresh solutions rather than stick to well-trodden paths. If you are a hands-on, idea-driven professional, capable of crafting brand-new solutions from the ground up, then this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

1. Devise and deliver the product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with Houst’s strategic priorities and goals.
2. Lead, inspire and develop a talented product team, fostering an environment where they can excel.
3. Conduct market and user research to uncover new opportunities and areas for improvement.
4. Collaborate cross-functionally with the Engineering, Design, Marketing and Sales teams to ensure seamless product development and launch.
5. Define and monitor key product metrics to understand performance and inform strategic decisions.
6. Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure timely delivery.
7. Champion our customers, deeply understanding their needs and frustrations to drive product improvement.
8. Foster a culture of experimentation, encouraging the team to test, learn, iterate, and innovate.

Requirements

1. Demonstrable experience in a product leadership role, preferably within a start-up environment.
2. Proven track record of crafting and launching successful products.
3. Hands-on, "do-er" mentality, with the ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with meticulous execution.
4. Superb leadership and team management skills, with experience in nurturing and developing high-performing teams.
5. Strong customer focus, with a passion for understanding user needs and translating them into product features.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a knack for thinking outside the box and finding creative solutions.
7. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from team members to board executives.
