Flooglebinder is looking for a highly committed, passionate, energetic and inspiring Geographer, who loves to extend learning beyond the classroom and has a love for the great outdoors.

Flooglebinder curates educational programmes to create change for people and planet. Our mission is to protect vulnerable habitats and conserve endangered species, whilst enabling travellers to understand their social and environmental impact. Our programmes focus on conservation, sustainability, personal development and mental health through adventure. Through this process we help schools achieve carbon net zero and plan residential strategies to compliment sustainability targets and goals.

You'll be expected to deliver high quality, rigorous lessons that focus on core Geography topics but deep dive into sustainability, biodiversity, ecology, doughnut economics, global perspectives, personal development and mental health. You'll be expected to plan and deliver a rich, varied and exciting curriculum with differentiated lessons for all abilities from KS3 to KS5.

As well as teaching you'll also get the opportunity to travel the world, leading groups of students to a range of projects that focus on conservation and sustainability. You'll be expected to project manage these groups from: discussing and presenting the programme; preparing for the trip; assisting on the trip; and designing and developing their future projects; all of which integrate into curriculum and their sustainability and residential strategies.

There is a sales element to the role, which will be easily developed through your current network, our database and further business development. This will be around 40% of the role, with approximately 40% teaching and 20% travelling to our awesome projects, managing your groups. Through the sales element you should be able to increase your salary by approximately 20% in the first year through commission. In nearly all cases you will simply build on this each year, due to the high percentage of returning customers. Therefore, expected earnings will be around 40% extra in year 2 and so on.

As a Bcorp, we meet the highest social and environmental standards and are very proud to be: the first travel BCorp in the UK; the only in the academic sector; and one of the highest scoring. This is why we offer a competitive salary, awesome personal development opportunities, fun weekends away, great trips and heaps of other cool benefits, including duvet days :)
