The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Marketing Specialist to join our team as we expand our market presence in the Energy sector. As a Vertical Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will play a crucial role in developing and executing marketing strategies across the business that resonate with our target audience in this niche market. Your goal will be to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Vertical Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy tailored to the different areas within the business. This includes analysing market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
  • Content Creation: Create compelling and relevant content, including blog posts, white papers, case studies, and other marketing collateral, to establish thought leadership and showcase our expertise in the vertical industry.
  • Digital Marketing: Oversee and execute digital marketing campaigns across various channels such as email marketing, social media, SEO, and SEM, ensuring maximum reach and engagement with the target audience.
  • Vertical Positioning: Craft targeted messaging and value propositions that align with the unique needs and pain points of businesses, effectively position our products/services as the ideal solutions.
  • Lead Generation: Collaborate with the sales team to generate high-quality leads and create effective lead nurturing campaigns to convert prospects into customers.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor key marketing metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts within the vertical industry. Provide regular reports and actionable insights to optimise strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Customer Advocacy: Cultivate strong relationships with existing customers, gathering testimonials and success stories to support marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. Additional certifications in digital marketing or industry-specific training are advantageous.
  • Proven experience working in marketing, preferably with a focus on digital delivery.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that led to measurable business results.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing techniques, including SEO, social media marketing, email campaigns, and content marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to drive data-driven marketing decisions.
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to come up with innovative marketing strategies and ideas.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific compliance and regulatory considerations.
  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
