Are you a talented digital communicator and content producer, with visual content and sharp copywriting skills? If you’ve got the skills to bring stories and impact to life for effective digital communications campaigns, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in the development and production of multimedia content for CARE International UK. You are the go-to person for content needs across Communications, Advocacy and Fundraising, providing end-to-end content creation to maximise brand and PR campaigns, partnerships and fundraising appeals.

As our Communications and Content Producer, you will ensure that CIUK is making the most of the powerful stories of the change being made by women and girls through CARE projects around the world.

You will proactively identify the best stories, reports, impact data and content opportunities across the CARE Confederation and shape them into multi-platform assets that meet wide-ranging communications objectives, including inspiring supporters, influencing public opinion, embedding CIUK’s new brand positioning and raising awareness of our work.

You will play a key part in a refreshed brand narrative for CIUK as part of the implementation of our new Strategy 2023-26, producing multi-media content and creating authentic story -telling opportunities to support our advocacy and fundraising objectives. As a strong copywriter and visual storyteller, you will plan, brief and produce compelling content that is optimised for all our digital communication channels.

Working closely with the communications, advocacy, digital and fund-raising teams to identify key moments occurring in the UK news cycle, social media and government and policy, you will be ready to react with timely, relevant content and campaign ideas.

 Specific Areas of Responsibility

· Develop, and upload, new content to CIUK’s website to showcase the impact of our work through engaging copy and multimedia content.

· Proactively triage and evaluate stories, case studies, reports, policy and content from across CARE, the development sector and external environment and, in collaboration with teams across the Department including Programming Colleagues, identify and shape it into multi-platform content that supports our new brand positioning, communications priorities and amplifies CARE's position as gender equality leaders in the development and humanitarian sector.

· Lead on coordinating and gathering specialist communications input for successful project or fundraising proposal writing.

· Identify new storytelling opportunities that align with CIUK strategy and priorities and work with the relevant country offices to gather and produce impactful and strategic content (written, photo, video) for digital and PR campaigns.

· Work closely with the Communications, Advocacy, Fundraising and Programme teams to identify key, moments occurring in the UK news cycle, on social media and within government and policy, and respond by gathering and producing timely, relevant content.

· Produce engaging photos, videos and copy to inform, influence and engage all of our audiences, including government, institutional and private donors, stakeholders, partners, school students, and segments of the UK public, in order to improve fundraising and donor engagement.

· Under the direction of the Head of Communications and Digital Manager, develop a content plan to support the launch of CARE’s new brand narrative aligned with CIUK’s new Strategy 2023-26.

· Provide training to CIUK Communications and in-country staff on best practices of content gathering and visual storytelling in the field to embed a responsive, efficient and ethical content gathering approach that fits our needs and ideally ensures a regular influx of timely and relevant content.
