Mahalo is a food and drink distributor that curates the most exciting food & drink brands for the independent retail sector. Our customers are the loveliest people: owners of independent farm shops, modern grocers and delis across the country who all need help filling their shelves with great food and drink products.
We’re looking for someone energetic with a great, can-do attitude to join our close knit team and support our founder with administrative and marketing tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone to get a deep understanding of all areas of marketing and the chance to play a key role as part of a growing business.
Our offices are in Liverpool Street and we’re a hybrid team working from home for three days a week and going into the office twice a week, so you'll need to be able to commute in too.
Our website is: www.mahalosupplies.com - we'd really recommend that you take a look and get a clear understanding of who we are, who our customers are and who our suppliers are.
What will you be doing?
- Actively supporting our founder with sourcing new food and drink brands
- Championing our community of emerging brands and highlighting their stories to our customers
- Launching new brands to our customers
- Liaising with our brand community to organise Lunch & Learns with our sales team
- Organising samples for customers
- Organising team lunches and team related events and managing the budget for these
- Developing marketing assets on Canva
- Managing our social media presence on Instagram

We’re looking for someone passionate about people, food and supporting independent businesses. If you’ve got a great entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for supporting independent grocers, delis and farm shops, we’d love to hear from you.
In particular, we’re looking for someone who is:
- Super organised, who loves having everything in order
- A proactive self starter, who loves being busy
- A fast problem solver who thrives on getting things done
- A team player who loves being part of a small team and playing an integral role within it
- Tech savvy - comfortable using web apps, email and social media
Ideal but not essential:
- Experience in working in the food & drink industry - maybe you’ve worked in a cafe, pub or deli
- Experience working in fast paced customer-facing roles
What we’re offering
- A chance to get a taste of all areas of the business and how it works
- Full training in our systems and our unique sales process that's made us the fastest growing fine food distributor in the UK
- Responsibility from day one to make your mark as part of a rapidly growing startup
- Access to all Bread & Jam festivals, summits and socials - the largest community of food & drink producers in the UK
- Tasting products from new and emerging food & drink brands
- Team lunches and free coffees in the office
- Meet The Supplier events
How to make your application stand out & score an interview
Please send us your CV and a short cover letter, outlining why you'd be a great fit for the role. There's no need for fancy corporate job application speak - we're friendly and we're real and we're most interested in people who are being themselves and know how to write a clear, direct email. In particular, we love receiving applications from people who are genuinely interested in the company and what it does.
