To help create change and make it happen we are looking for an outstanding senior communications manager to join the sustainability team to drive social impact engagement!

Core Responsibilities

BUILDING BRAND REPUTATION. Advance the LEGO Group’s reputation in relation to environmental and social responsibility through integrated communication activity.

SOCIAL IMPACT CAMPAIGN PLANNING & EXECUTION. Be responsible for the successful design, delivery and implementation of sustainability engagement campaigns. This includes, but is not restricted to:

  • Building an annual calendar of social impact events and activities, including consumer, employee and partner (eg customer) engagement.
  • Managing editorial planning across owned and earned channels.
  • Designing campaigns that will deliver across relevant owned, earned and paid media channels and engage consumers across multiple formats.
  • Working with teams across the LEGO Group to integrate sustainability communication into broader LEGO Brand campaign activation and channels.
  • Develop understanding of audience preferences, habits, behaviour and media consumption.
  • Evaluate the success of social impact activity, tracking relevant measures and KPIs to ensure impact is measured and insights captured to continuously improve in the context of our sustainability mission.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT. Collaborate with internal and external partners across a wide range of fields, including Marketing, Social Responsibility, Government Affairs, and Corporate Brand Communications to bring the full force of the LEGO Brand and its social impact activities to our audiences.

ISSUES MANAGEMENT. Proactively and effectively track, handle and respond to sustainability-related issues that have the potential to impact the LEGO Group’s reputation.

AGENCY MANAGEMENT. Lead a network of agencies, including a team from the LEGO Group’s internal agency, to deliver campaigns & and engagement activities that inspire, entertain and get people to think and act.

The Sustainability Engagement team leads our communications work to inspire advocacy, co-creation and dialogue with experts, legislators, influencers, children and parents around the world. We want to activate people and partners to play a positive difference in children’s lives, and together with us inspire a more sustainable way of living.

Do you have what it takes

You will probably bring an academic degree within Communications and/or other relevant degree. Proficiency in English, written and oral, is required.

Experience and Skills we would love to see:

  • Consistent track record in sustainability / ESG / social responsibility communications and engagement, preferably in a global role.
  • Experience working with media, NGOs and partners
  • Excellent project management and organisation skills
  • Believes great communications can create change
  • A teammate who wants to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve maximum impact.
