HarperCollins is the second largest consumer book publisher in the world. Here at HarperCollins UK, we publish around 1,500 books a year for readers of all ages and interests.
We are currently recruiting for a Paper Purchasing Assistant to join our production book printing team based in our London Bridge office.
We are looking for someone with solid administrational experience (not necessarily from a publishing background), someone who enjoys working with numbers and is a whiz on Excel. Stock control experience and a keen interest in the environment would also be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Being responsible for managing paper stock levels and values
Running and maintaining paper stock reports/forecasts/usages
Raising and receipting purchase orders
Checking and approving invoices
Research on book printers and environmental specifications and standards
Liaising with controllers, directors and suppliers
Answering general queries within the book printing team
Skills Required
Great attention to detail
The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
A keen interest in FSC and the environment
Proven experience of utilising Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, and bespoke databases and systems
