HarperCollins is the second largest consumer book publisher in the world. Here at HarperCollins UK, we publish around 1,500 books a year for readers of all ages and interests.

We are currently recruiting for a Paper Purchasing Assistant to join our production book printing team based in our London Bridge office.

We are looking for someone with solid administrational experience (not necessarily from a publishing background), someone who enjoys working with numbers and is a whiz on Excel. Stock control experience and a keen interest in the environment would also be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Being responsible for managing paper stock levels and values

  • Running and maintaining paper stock reports/forecasts/usages

  • Raising and receipting purchase orders

  • Checking and approving invoices

  • Research on book printers and environmental specifications and standards

  • Liaising with controllers, directors and suppliers

  • Answering general queries within the book printing team

 Skills Required

  • Great attention to detail

  • The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

  • A keen interest in FSC and the environment

  • Proven experience of utilising Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, and bespoke databases and systems
