Job Description
We are growing our commercial team with the key hire of a Sales & Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in the Hospitality Sector.
This is an exciting role for someone who wants to apply their entrepreneurial expertise and experience of the hospitality sector to address the most important challenge of our time.
The role reports directly to the Head of Sales and Business Development with the key objective of managing the commercial pipeline from warm leads to active customers, including:
- Understanding the dynamics of the Hospitality Sector and the key drivers of demand for climate solutions
- Identifying priority market segments and building a strong pipeline of leads / prospects from those segments, in collaboration with:
- Net Zero Now’s Comms and Lead Gen teams
- Net Zero Now’s Development, Affiliate and Tech partners (including Coca Cola, Pernod Ricard, The Sustainable Restaurant Association and many more)
- Engaging with prospective clients to understand and respond to their specific requirements and drive revenue for Net Zero Now
- Supporting our climate and tech teams in the continuous improvement of the Net Zero Now offering and platform to ensure we meet customer requirements and expectations
Duties and Responsibilities
- New business development and acquisition of new corporate accounts
- Product & solution presentations and demonstrations
- Contract negotiations
- Sales forecasting & reporting using HubSpot CRM
- Achievement of revenue sales targets
- Serve as a Mentor to Business Development Executives to help them grow in their sales careers
Required Experience/Skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of sales / business development in the hospitality industry
- A demonstrable passion for business and environmental issues
- Exceptional written, verbal, analytical and communication skills
- Full competence with MS Office or equivalent applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- 2:1 or above at degree level
Nice-to-Haves
- An understanding of carbon accounting and reporting, including the knowledge of the GHG Protocol and scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions
- Experience with HubSpot CRM and Jira Project Management software applications
- An understanding of the tech systems and platforms used in the hospitality sector
