About the role

At Up Learn, we create world-class educational content, designed by dedicated teachers and subject experts, and informed by the latest research into cognitive science and instructional design. As a Content Developer, you will work closely with our experienced Learning Executives to produce educational graphics and videos, to bring our lessons to life. You will report to a Lead Content Developer, who will help you develop all the skills you need for the role.

About us

At Up Learn we use AI and cognitive science to ensure every student can achieve a top grade, regardless of their background. We guarantee students' academic success or their money back.

Since launching in 2016 we’ve helped over 80,000 students, delivered over 10,000 scholarships to disadvantaged students, and achieved a 4.9* rating on Trustpilot. We’re a profitable start-up that has raised over £3m from exceptional investors including VC Forward Partners, the Chairman of Virgin, the Former Chairman and President of American Express, and the Branson family, to improve and expand our product. Our next big step is to take everything we’ve learned in creating A-Level content, and create brand new courses for GCSEs, expanding our reach to millions of new students every year.

We are operating in a multi-trillion dollar market with the opportunity to change the lives of millions and eventually billions of people every year. As we scale, our goal is to deliver the world’s best learning experience, and make Up Learn one of the best places to work in the world. Our goal is to get the 1.5 billion young people (3 billion by 2030) in education around the world to always be learning the core curriculum successfully and in the shortest possible time.

About you

You’re passionate about education and truly believe that it can change the world. You want to start or are looking to develop your career in an education company. You’re self-driven and eager to learn through your work. You’re a team player and thrive in a culture of feedback. • Contribute ideas and work in a team so that we can provide the best possible learning experience to students
  • Learn principles and techniques for designing effective multimedia learning resources, as efficiently as possible
  • Provide constructive feedback and support other content developers in their work

Requirements

This is an entry-level position, and we will help you learn and develop all of the skills you need for the role. That being said, here’s what we’re looking for. If you don’t meet all of the criteria below, but you still believe you’re the right person for the job, we strongly encourage you to apply.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) or equivalent
  • Full-time availability
