Head of Finance

The Dragon Trip Group is recruiting a Head of Finance to oversee the planning, implementation, managing and running of all the company's finance activities globally (based in either our London or HCMC office).

Our company operates three brands across the youth travel space:

• The Learning Adventure (school trips for university and school students)
• The Dragon Trip (adventure tours for backpackers in Asia)
• The Coyote Trip (adventure tours for backpackers in N. America)

All brands are youth-focused tour operators which share the same mission: to expand minds through transformative travel experiences.

We’re seeking someone who has cross border financial technical expertise, integrity, interpersonal aptitudes and strong communication abilities and (like all of our team) is highly passionate about the positive impact travel can have on young people. 

Responsibilities

• Oversee our finance manager and team – We arrange finance for all offices globally from the finance base in our HCMC (Vietnam) office. Directly manage our finance manager and ensure the department is meeting all global requirements. 
• Form part of the C-Suite – Be the financial voice at all major strategic meetings.
• Develop our finance systems for growth – Take a lead in ensuring the company is financially ready and prepared to move from a medium to a large sized organization. 
• Communicate: Provide financial updates to the team, CEO and Board of Directors.
• Central Services: As Head of Finance, our Central Services department would also fall under your responsibility. This department handles all of the legal and administrative needs of the company. This includes managing our ATOL application and insurance.
• Represent: Be a senior managerial face of the company to our teams and other key stakeholders such as shareholders and investors.

• Managerial Excellence: Oversee a high performing managers. 
• Accounting ability: Degree + additional qualifications + experience in accounting / finance.
• Strategic Ability: Work alongside C-suite and other senior managers to make bold but smart strategic decisions which achieve our growth objectives and are aligned with our values and mission.
• Communication Ability: Work with and inspire teams across a variety of departments. 

Experience

• At least 8 years working in finance, and experience in senior managerial roles (ideally within the travel sector)
• Have demonstrated a passion for travel or international education.

Terms:

• Reporting to the CEO.
