Role Summary

Role Requirements

  • Proven experience in Product Leadership with a successful track record in strategy and delivery.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and present, influence, and support cross-functional teams.
  • Deep technical understanding of B2B SaaS or efficiency tooling, especially AI and automation.
  • Passionate about working in a respectful, transparent, and collaborative environment.
  • Results-driven, with a focus on achieving ambitious KPIs.

About the role

We’re looking for a Head of Product to oversee Beam’s digital products, with a focus on our AI and emerging technologies. Reporting to Alex, our Co-Founder and CEO, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming how care is delivered across the UK. 

Our latest product, Magic Notes, is an AI-powered tool currently in the pilot phase but already generating results. Along with saving caseworkers considerable amounts of time, there’s been a lot of excitement around pioneering a truly tangible use of AI that improves the lives of residents and provides the first step in local government’s journey into using AI across services.

This is a hands-on role, managing one other Product Manager, we're looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager / Head of (we're open on level of experience) who is passionate about building best-in-class, customer-centric products. Someone who loves being part of a team and the accountability of driving an impact on our customers.

Being part of our product team within Beam will mean experimenting, learning from our mistakes and successes, along influencing the strategic direction based on partner feedback and market demands.

You’ll be

  •  Increasing our efficiency - both of the product and team, in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
  • Hands-on in Product Management - Managing multiple products and priorities, whilst being able to set the strategy at a team level 
  • Establishing clear and measurable goals - Define and set meaningful goals, for which you hold yourself and your team accountable, including managing OKR cycles
  • Making evidence-based decisions - Quickly using a mix of qualitative, quantitative, and market insights. You don’t get stuck in analysis paralysis, and if you find yourself there, you ask for help to get out of it
  • Growing daily - Using mistakes as a great opportunity for learning, and turning those into constructive coaching for your team members, to help those around you try things differently

You’ll have

  • Product Leadership - Successfully created and executed a Product strategy, connecting the dots with the overall objectives and Go-to-Market strategy
  • Collaboration in mind  - Demonstrable experience collaborating with peers - from engineering to data, design, operations, finance, and third parties, you'll be comfortable presenting, influencing and supporting a cross-functional working 
  • A track record of success - A proven history of successful product discovery and delivery and are confident in managing the Product Manager on your team to strike a healthy balance
  • Deep technical expertise - Understand well the mechanics, metrics, and levers of a B2B SaaS or efficiency tooling product with a specific focus on AI and automation
  • Passion - A desire to work in a respectful, transparent, and collaborative work environment, excited by Beam’s company values, culture and ways of working
  • A results-driven mindset - you thrive working towards ambitious team and individual KPIs
