Volunteer Communications Team Lead

What will you be doing?

The Volunteer Comms Team Lead will play a vital role in raising awareness of the mission of Bounds Green Food Bank, and will drive donations. They will be responsible for leading and inspiring a team of 4 volunteers  in coming up with creative ways to spread the word and raise valuable funds for the food bank.  Key responsibilities

Calling and hosting the Comms team meeting. Operating as the point of contact for marketing and comms support for the foodbank. Helping at community fundraising events. Writing and proofing external communications.

What are we looking for?

Previous experience in marketing, communications, or related fields. A self starter, able to work independently but also to collaborate with others Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire volunteers. A high standard of written and verbal communication skills. Experience of using Canva or similar design packages.

This is a critical role in helping to ensure we can continue our support for the local community in relieving poverty.   You will have a real opportunity to offer your specific skills to help the strategic progression of the charity.   There is also the option to explore a role as a member of the newly-established Trustee Board at a later date.
