This is an advisory role to work alongside the Director of People and Support Services who is the Delegated H&S Lead, providing expert advice and assurance on Health and Safety across all Hospice activities.

What will you be doing?

You will be working with the Delegated H&S Lead, H&S Coordinator and Facilities and Estates Manager to provide support and guidance in all our health and safety requirements and acting as the competent person for the Hospice to give us assurance that we are covering all the H&S requirements of our organization.

What are we looking for?

NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent essential. Extensive experience in a Health & Safety oversight and management essential. Practical experience of undertaking audits, inspections, risk assessments essential. Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety legislation essential. Health and safety management to Master’s Degree level or equivalent is desirable. Chartered Member of IOSH would be desirable. Some experience of working in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
