What will you be doing?

Hellooo everyone!! We are looking for a flexible, self-starting, skilled volunteer to help lead & run our social media channels. Calais Light is a UK registered, entirely volunteer-run charity that supports refugees in the UK & France. We run weekend-only convoys, source new, stylish clothes from world class brands for refugees & teach English to refugees in Essex.   You must already be expert at posting imaginatively for an organisation (say, a company, brand, student union) on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter. Knowing how to use Canva software & create visually engaging content is KEY!! We need around 3 hours of your time a week.   If you are a social media savvy, Content Creator, have great spelling & good, light touch writing skills plus a few hours a week free to help with a worthwhile cause - please get in touch #LI-Remote

What are we looking for?

At Least 3 years good social media skills, working for a brand, organisation, hurch, student union, group.  Able to generate content alone - though we have a sound social media strategy for you to follow.  Self-starter, doesn't need constant supervision or copy-writing correction, once you have the idea. Good eye for aesthetics - can follow our brand style

What difference will you make?

As our social media volunteer, you will be Calais Light’s mouthpiece This is a vital role within our internal team of volunteers - helping us to raise our profile, promote fundraising activities & campaign for the rights of refugees. We already have great engagement on our socials & would love you to increase it!
