What will you be doing?

We are looking to develop a small dedicated team of fundraisers who will be able to help create fundraising opportunities, prepare compelling funding applications and support us to improve our fundraising activities. Could it be you?  Even though we are a small charity we make a big difference to the lives of local people and would like you to help us to grow and make even more of a difference to people with learning disabilities and their families.  You will be working closely with our CEO and part time member of staff as well as opportunities to work with our members if you want to get more involved. We're flexible around times of work and can offer office space if needed, but are also happy for this to be done as a work from home project.  Our management team will work closely with you to give you all the information needed and support along the way.   This role can be varied but could include:

Research available funding and develop a pipeline of applications Maximise unrestricted income from grant-giving charitable trusts Develop and improve fundraising resources Develop a simple donor journey and stewardship plans to further engage supporters and give them opportunities to support the charity in other ways.

What are we looking for?

Although we're a small charity we have a strong foundation of small grants success but we now need experienced fundraisers to open up a wider range of fundraising opportunities in a planned and co-ordinated way. We are looking for people who have:

A passion for our vision that all people with learning disability are valued, respected and empowered to live life to the full

Experience of working in fundraising, particularly in grant writing would be an advantage Knowledge of fundraising tools, techniques and platforms Ability to work flexibly on your own and as part of a small team with enthusiasm and commitment Creative and resourceful mindset Good initiative and ability to work with little direct supervision but will ask when help is needed Excellent interpersonal skills  Excellent organisational skills, with experience of proactive planning, managing deadlines and prioritising effectively Good computer skills and a willingness to be contacted via email and/or video chat

What difference will you make?

We're a small charity with a small team who go above and beyond for the people we support. Demand for our services is higher than ever and we want to make sure that we can continue to grow to provide the vital support for people with learning disabilities in Bexley to live the life they want to lead. Your work will help us to make sure that we can keep offering a range of diverse activities and services specifically designed for the people we work with.  You will be helping people with learning disabilities to be more independent, gain confidence, have opportunities to make friends and to do the things that are important to them; work, socialise and live independently. You will be helping us to raise awareness and acceptance within the community of the issues that people with a learning disability face.  We are keen to empower our members to share their stories and their views and you will be an important part of that.
