What is the role? An opportunity for an experienced finance/accounting professional with an interest in heritage to expand the material impact of a small international charity and join a small UK team to support Georgia’s heritage and culture. This is an unpaid voluntary position. What will you be doing? The Finance Manager’s particular responsibilities are • Advice and guidance to the Board on accounting and finance issues. • Overview of the charity’s accounting. • Maintenance and development of the charity’s internal controls and related policy. Communication about finances.
Prepare and maintain all financial records and provide quarterly reports Provide annual statutory financial summary as required by UK Charity Commission Prepare annual budget to ensure adequate resources Manage charity account/bank statements Monitor all fundraising, income and expenditures Liaise with NTG finance manager in Tbilisi Manage and monitor international fund transfers to Georgia
What are we looking for?
Helpful experience/background would include:
Previous work in a similar role in the heritage or non-profit sector (UK Charity Commission a plus) or small commercial concern Accounting skills and expertise with budgets & spreadsheets
Additional Desirable Attributes:
Integrity and trust An interest in and enthusiasm for fundraising, heritage and the historic built environment. Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information. Good written and verbal communication skills to build good relationships and NTG volunteer team, and trustees

We recently completed two major projects and seek to grow the organization with skilled volunteers to increase our impact- this position will work closely with our new fundraising and communications manager to build sufficient resources to restore key buildings and provide conservation training.
