What will you be doing?

We are looking to recruit an experienced Volunteer Social Media Manager to join the team to help nurture and expand our online profile and engagement with the adult dyslexia community. This is a remote working role that will require approximately 6-8 hours per week. We can accommodate a flexible schedule. The successful candidate will be expected to commit to the role for at least 4 months. Key areas of responsibility:

Content Creation and Curation:

Create engaging, relevant, and visually appealing content. Curate and share informative articles, resources, and content about dyslexia and learning differences.

Social Media Strategy:

Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with the charity's goals. Help build an engaged and active community of supporters 

Community Engagement:

Engage with the charity's followers and respond to comments and messages. Monitor and moderate discussions to ensure a safe and inclusive online environment.

Analytics and Reporting:

Track key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide reports and insights on social media performance.

Campaign Management:

Coordinate and promote specific campaigns, events, and fundraising efforts through social media channels. Collaborate with the team to ensure a cohesive online presence across all platforms.

Stay Updated on Industry Trends: 

Latest trends in social media marketing, dyslexia, and related topics to enhance the charity's online presence.

What are we looking for?

A solid understanding of social media platforms. Sound knowledge of the English language. Strong copywriting and editing skills. Strong communication and people skills for articulating ideas. Creativity (graphic,  Ability to develop content strategies. Organisational skills. Time management. Eye for detail and the ability to work accurately.
