What will you be doing?

Reporting directly to the Trustees, the Communications Executive is part of the top-level executive management team of the HBA. The Communications Executive will liaise with HBA volunteers, members and member organisations and all external stakeholders to keep them informed of the association’s developments. The role holder will create strategies to increase awareness and uptake, promote delivery of the association’s services.

Externally, they will communicate with the media and other interested parties to announce new services, structures and organisational changes in a way that attempts to maintain a positive image of the association – using all media sources available. The Communications Executive will lead and manage the communications team. Liaising across the Executive Group is essential to ensure a cohesive approach to all HBA communications. The role of the Communications Executive additionally is to contribute to the activities of the Trustees, Executive Leads group and HBA membership to assure the objectives of the HBA, as set by the Trustee Board, are met.  

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a creative with a can-do attitude, with PR and communications experience. You will be responsible for overseeing the organisation’s marketing and PR activities, which may include: delivering our PR & communications strategy; drafting press releases and collateral for publication/distribution; managing and maintaining the development of our social and digital media platforms; liaising with media outlets; and the creation of publicity material, literature; publishing content to HBA's website.
