Volunteer Trustee

What will you be doing?

Strategic Direction: Contribute to setting and reviewing the strategic aims and objectives of Always Another Way. Ensure that the organization's policies and practices align with its mission and values. Governance: Uphold the values and objectives of Always Another Way, ensuring compliance with legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements. Participate in board meetings and other engagements, making informed decisions that benefit the community we serve. Advocacy and Representation: Advocate for the mission of Always Another Way, engaging with stakeholders and representing the organization in a professional manner. Utilize networks and connections to support the organization’s goals and to attract potential partners and resources: Support Financial Management: Support the Treasurer and Executive Officer in budgeting, planning, and forecasting to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization. Review financial reports and advise on financial strategy to ensure effective resource allocation: Organizational Development: Assist in fostering a positive organizational culture that supports the well-being and development of staff and volunteers. Advise on organizational structure and design to ensure the organization is well-positioned to fulfill its mission. 

What are we looking for?

Experience in strategic planning, governance, and/or nonprofit management. Alignment with the values and mission of Always Another Way. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
