What will you be doing?
Home-Start Leeds is a voluntary organisation offering both emotional and practical support to families with at least one child under seven in the Leeds area. We know that being a parent isn’t always easy and that life can bring stress and challenges that get in the way of family life. Our volunteers from all communities and backgrounds visit parents in their home and develop a supportive relationship to help them to build brighter futures for their children and themselves.
What are we looking for?
We are specifically seeking people with at least three years’ experience in the following areas:
Social Work Services / Children Services Refugees & Immigration
What difference will you make?
We have been refreshing our Board over recent years after a number of members who had been with us over 20 years retired. The Board are keen to ensure that going forward our Board reflects society; and to bring in a range of skills that it is felt to be missing from our skills matrix. Bringing your skills and experience to Home-Start Leeds will help us to be a stronger organisation that can build on its excellent offer to families and children in the city at times in their lives when they experience barriers that can affect childhood experiences and development.
