What are we looking for?

We have a congenial atmosphere on our board, avoiding politics, and just concentrating on what the charity needs from us as a team. So a similar attitude is a must to continue enjoying the process. We are a small organisation and so preparedness to occasionally contribute a little more time would be useful. The treasurer role is obviously a key one and the chair relies on the treasurer to own that area of the charity's operation. beyond these traits, we are involved in mental health. you do not need specific experience in this area but some interest and care about this area would be useful.

What difference will you make?

The treasurer does have a key role in overseeing the financial probity of the organisation, overseeing the work of a contract Management Accountant / Bookkeeper, and making sure financial policies are upheld.
