What will you be doing?
We are a small charity with a big impact. We provide advice and advocacy to disabled people and their carers in East Suffolk. We’re seeking improve awareness of our service, and build momentum through successful partnership working. As well as attending trustee board meetings six times a year your desire to identify opportunities to attend other meetings and events will be welcomed. This is a hands-on voluntary role, championing DAS and providing robust support and challenge to ensure we fulfil our charitable objects.
What are we looking for?
You will be: Looking for a challenge; An influencer with good communication skills Committed to diversity, and the work of DAS Willing to accept the responsibilities of being a trustee Flexible and able to give up to 2 days per month You might: Be able to take advantage of an existing network of relevant contacts Have experience of one or more of the following: Business strategy; Finance; Governance; Fund raising; HR
What difference will you make?
What difference will you make? Last year we generated over £2.5m for our 1,000+ clients but numbers are on the up as a result largely of the cost of living crisis. In particular, those needing our crisis service who are in or, on the verge of, extreme poverty has grown sharply. This role will support our desire to establish a broader base of partners and funding sources and will lead to a more diverse future direction, and develop our service to minimise unmet need.
