What will you be doing?

The Delicate Mind is an award-winning mental health C.I.C that specialises in delivering support to Muslim and Working-Class Communities. We are currently looking for an experienced Social Media Marketer to work with us and help us devise a strong Social Media Strategy.  We would like the volunteer to deliver on the following:

Perform a social media audit: Assess the current state of our social media pages and make recommendations on how we might improve our presence and engagement and where we might focus our efforts.   Help us develop and execute a Social Media Strategy to help us expand our social media presence across three platforms, Twitter, Instagram & Facebook.   Provide guidance on how we can manage our social media on an ongoing basis e.g. using a centralised tool, creating a content calendar, identifying easy and free graphic tools and images.   Produce fresh and engaging content for our social media channels.   Prepare graphics for sharing across channels.   Engage with our followers and encourage interaction.   Manage and maintain social media channels on a regular basis.   Promote upcoming Events / Sessions.

We want to work collaboratively with you in ensuring this role helps you develop professionally and personally and we will give you full autonomy in curating interesting mental health content across these platforms as well as helping us to promote our current community service and ongoing work. What are we looking for?

We are looking for a volunteer who has experience in the following:

Writing and editing marketing content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram / across all platforms.

Building strategies to increase social media following and /or build fundraising or awareness campaigns.   Developing a coherent brand voice for social media, from content creation to community interactions.   Creating content calendars to help plan social media activity.

The volunteer should also have

Commitment to The Delicate Minds’ Values. Ability to work within The Delicate Minds’ policies. Good written communication skills, with accuracy and good attention to detail. Ability to think creatively when sharing content. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and motivated to work as an individual. Ability to deal in a professional manner when communicating online. Passion for helping people who are struggling with Mental Health issues. Ability to quickly understand the needs of our team / organisation / users. Can ask key questions to enable us to clarify requirements. Understands the resource constraints of a small charity and is able to work with these. A willingness to learn and challenge us when necessary. Be a nice person.

What difference will you make?

Your support will ensure that the social space is more aware of the work we are doing and of important mental health ideas and information.
