Role Summary

What’s it all about?

You will own and lead the retention of ~100 to ~150 existing school accounts; nurturing great school relationships and deepening our strategic partnerships to leverage additional growth opportunities. 

You will provide your accounts with strategic advice, acting as a consultative, trusted advisor on the most high-value touch points throughout the journey to drive programme success. Your proactive and targeted account management will drive growth and loyalty to hit our north star retention goals.

The Education Partnerships Manager sits within the B2B Partnerships Team as part of the Existing Business team. The Partnerships Team comprises retention, new business, and marketing squads that work closely and collaboratively. 

Currently, there are nine members of the Existing Business team. Collectively they are responsible for confirming renewal of our tuition school contracts each academic year, onboarding schools onto their tuition programmes, and overseeing successful implementation. 

The Education Partnerships Manager reports to our Senior Partnerships Manager (Key Accounts).

The Day to Day:

  • Own and lead the retention of ~100+ existing school partnerships.
  • Manage your time to hit key KPIs to ensure you hit and exceed personal revenue targets.
  • Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities (cross-sell and up-sell) with existing contacts.
  • Diversify relationships in accounts to help embed MyTutor and open new commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure we deliver our sold revenue through supporting accounts to start their programmes on time.
  • Monitor the health of your accounts to provide proactive support and intervention to empower accounts to be as successful as possible. 
  • Work closely with Marketing to nurture school and academy trust decision-makers to keep them engaged throughout the academic year.
  • Champion the voice of the customer by sharing customer feedback and insights across the company. 
  • Proactively develop school champions and leverage positive relationships to drive referrals.
  • Take ownership of building your product and sector knowledge to act as a trusted school adviser. 
  • Help create effective processes and strategies for school partnership retention, supporting the wider team to achieve their retention goals.
  • Partner with the Operations, Sales & Customer Experience teams to provide a seamless experience from new customers to loyal partners.

Requirements

Who will you be?

  • Ideally experienced in an Account Executive/Account Manager role.
  • You are someone who knows how to deliver account retention and leverage growth with accounts from cross-selling.
  • Proven track record of hitting KPI including sales targets, both for retention and growth.
  • Experienced in developing transactional relationships into long-term partnerships.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of accounts with regular contact and understand how to prioritise individual accounts within a large account portfolio.
  • Skilled objection handling with a challenger mentality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Confidence in speaking with senior decision-makers.
  • Excellent telephone call-handling skills, including questioning, probing, listening, matching, and closing.
  • Someone who enjoys collaborating with their team and up-skilling together
  • Experience and understanding of Salesforce and Outreach is preferred but not essential.
