What will you be doing?
The Chair of Trustees/Trustee, along with fellow Trustees, will be responsible for ensuring compliance and accountability for finance, legal and governance obligations:
setting strategic direction and goals, ensuring the charity complies with its governing document, charity law and statutory requirements, ensuring internal controls are fit for purpose and complied with, bring valuable professional or other experience to their charity, help to ensure that the charity is well-managed through the appointment of senior executive staff.

What are we looking for?
Be eligible for appointment as a Charity Trustee and with a positive DBS check. Demonstrate a commitment to the aims and values of charitable activities. Ability to provide the level of commitment required for the role of Chair/Trustees. Experience of governance and the role of a Charity Trustee is essential. Ability to lead and work as part of a team. Personal experience of disability and/or knowledge of the disability community and physical activity. Essential expertise/experience relating to:
Organisational effectiveness Risk management Interpersonal and communication skills Leadership Chairing of / participation in meetings.
Desirable expertise/experience:
Fundraising Safeguarding Digitisation Marketing Data protection Event / operations management.
