Role Summary

Role Requirements

The Infectious Disease Strategic Priority Area is looking for a Senior Research Manager with a background in entomology to develop and shape projects which consider how environmental change is leading to changes in vector (notably mosquito) behaviour, distribution (including invasive species) and ability to transmit disease. We are particularly interested in seeing applications from individuals with knowledge of the Aedes mosquito.

In this role you will: Contribute to the leadership, development and delivery of the Infectious Disease Strategic Priority Area ensuring strategic objectives are met. Support the Infectious Disease team to convene, fund and share learning leading on the implementation and assessment of funding calls and commissions, convening groups, drafting reports and liaising with internal and external groups and individuals as required.

To be successful in this role you will have: An advanced degree in the life sciences or equivalent demonstrable experience Able to demonstrate a breadth of research expertise in the field of entomology in particular the effect of environmental change on vectors through relevant work experience in an academic, industrial, funding agency or charity setting.
