  • Lead and manage field operations for Rewilding Romania’s projects.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of field infrastructure.
  • Manage fleet operations, including vehicles and boats.
  • Handle logistics, procurement, and security protocols.
  • Supervise the field team and nurture relationships with tourism operators.
  • Role Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in operations management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Significant experience in planning and reporting.
  • Romanian citizen or long-term resident with fluency in Romanian and English.

Rewilding Romania (RR) is a Foundation with the mission to make Romania a wilder place and restore nature, mainly the Southern Carpathians (SC) and the Danube Delta (DD). The Danube Delta is the largest natural river delta in Europe, and home to large populations of breeding birds, including many endangered and threatened species.

The role of the Field Operations Manager is to manage all operations of Rewilding Romania´s company in the field site, including the management of a field team, infrastructure development and maintenance, fleet (vehicles, boats and other machinery) management, logistics, procurement, security and surveillance and relationship management with the tourism operator.

Job requirements include at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in operations management, proven experience with management, supervision of teams, planning, and reporting, Romanian citizen, or living in Romania for a long period, with an excellent understanding of Romanian language and culture, and good oral and written skills in English.

Benefits include a gross salary above 10.000 RON/month and additionally to the salary will be provided private medical insures, private pension, meal and holiday allowances, in accordance with the Romanian legislation.
