Volunteer Volunteer Coordinator for healthcare support charity

What will you be doing?

Recruiting volunteers: You'll be in charge of finding wonderful, skilled volunteers to add to our team. You'll get to know Chronically Marvellous well, speaking with the current staff and volunteers so that you understand where we might need extra help in delivering our projects. You'll have the privilege of speaking with candidates and seeing who will be a good fit for us. Onboarding and retention: Alongside the relevant staff member, you'll have the opportunity to keep our volunteers engaged and feeling supported whilst they work with us. We have volunteers who work on site in our London office, some remotely, and some with the best of both. As your role progresses, you can see where the greatest need is and use your time to best suit you and the organisation. Maintaining records: In line with GDPR, you'll keep good quality records of our candidates, volunteers, and previous team members, so that our communications are up to date, effective, and keep confidentiality. Have fun and show passion for CM: You'll understand why Chronically Marvellous exists, and why the work that we do is important to so many people. You will be able to portray this to potential candidates and other organisations you come into contact with. We're all here for the same reason, we should have fun and enjoy being here!

What are we looking for?

Experience of volunteer management, HR, line management, or general recruitment. An interest in people, getting to know their strengths, their interests, and helping them achieve their goals. Ability to take initiative, bring ideas to the table, ensuring accessibility of all our systems and services. Great organisational skills, with experience in keeping high quality records/communications systems. Great collaborative personality, working to achieve the same mission as our delivery team. A passion for empowering people and promoting independence for those with chronic illnesses.
