What will you be doing?
We are looking for a volunteer to plan quarterly social events for the survivors we work with; examples being Bonding Brunches, Cooking Classes, and Painting Sessions. You will be helping survivors of Human Trafficking, Gender Based Violence, and Child Marriage to build communities they can trust and that can support them in their Reintegration into society. You will:
Work directly with the Social Awareness Manager at the start of the year to develop the strategy for the quarterly Wellbeing activities for the year Liaise with our partner charities and survivors to communicate the dates and logistics for the Wellbeing events, and maintain a good relationship with our partner charities for future events Liaise with Companies, Businesses, and Vendors to arrange the logistic for the Wellbeing events Collaborate with the Sponsorship Team to secure sponsorships for the event & to put together LoveBoxes (goodie bags) for the survivors and with the Social Media Team to capture content from the Wellbeing event.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has:
Experience working in event planning Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, including teamwork Experience in virtual event planning would be an asset Ability to effectively motivate and manage volunteers Knowledge of well-being and desire to promote well-being Experience with trauma-informed approaches to working
