Volunteer CoOrdinator for Read Easy Torbay

What will you be doing?

The CoOrdinator is the first point of contact for those who want to learn to read.  They pair up new Coaches with those who want to learn to read, our 'Readers', and provide ongoing support to these reading pairs. They visit their reading sessions occasionally and maintain support through regular calls with both Reader and Coach to check all is going well Read Easy Torbay are looking to recruit a CoOrdinator for Torquay/Paignton areas.  CoOrdinators work closely with the Referral Networkers, and are supported by the Management Team

What are we looking for?

This role would suit someone who can demonstrate the following experience and skills, for at least 3 years Teaching (in any of the Educational Sectors)  Management/Leadership experience Experience in mentoring, supporting and motivating people Excellent organisational , communication and administration skills Have knowledge of Safeguarding of vulnerable adults          

What difference will you make?

Co Ordinators are involved at the very beginning of the process for helping adults tackle their reading difficulties. They will experience the satisfaction of seeing these adults improve their employment opportunities or see them experience the joy of reading to their children for the very first time.
