Role Summary

  • Design and implement test automation frameworks using Watir for the web application.
  • Maintain test documentation, including test plans, cases, and reports.

Role Requirements

  • 6+ years in web test automation, preferably with Watir experience.
  • 3+ years working with Ruby language.
  • Experience with CRM/Marketing tools.
  • Ability to build complex test suites and manual testing plans from scratch.
  • Strong judgment and attention to detail for architectural, product, design, and process decisions.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment valuing speed and autonomy.
  • Mobile test automation experience using WebDriver + Appium is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Javascript and Typescript is advantageous.
  • Start-up experience and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams is beneficial.

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Marketing Hub team as we aim to make Circle the top choice for creator/brand-led communities. You'll be working on features related to member management areas, member invite flows, member sign up/authentication, workflows, marketing/bulk emails and supporting our React Native apps.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing test automation, executing automated tests, identifying defects, and working with developers to resolve any identified issues.

What you'll be doing

Design, develop, and implement web test automation frameworks for our web application using Watir. Develop and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Drive the current test automation frameworks and QA processes, set best practices, and ensure a high level of app stability. Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in test automation.

What you'll need to be sucessful

6+ years experience working with web test automation, preferred working with Watir. 3+ years experience working on Ruby language. Experience working on CRM/Marketing tools. You have experience building complex test suites and creating manual testing plans for both short-term and long-term projects from scratch. You have strong judgment and attention to detail when it comes to architectural, product, design, and process decisions. Your judgment inspires a high level of trust within the team. You have a desire to work in an environment that values speed of iteration and individual autonomy.

Bonus points

You have mobile test automation experience using WebDriver + Appium in any programming language. Write clean Javascript code and Typescript. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that mobile applications meet quality standards. Experience at a fast-growing start-up.
