The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy, and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.

The role: We are looking for a Research Manager to sit within the Evidence Team for Mental Health. The team’s remit is to scope and fund research that improves our understanding of how depression, anxiety and psychosis develop and how they resolve. This includes basic research into causal mechanisms underlying these conditions, and research with translational implications.

Job requirements: While a PhD is not essential, you will need to have significant expertise in relation to at least one area of basic mental health science, i.e. research grounded in a mechanistic understanding of how mental health problems develop and resolve. For this position it is desirable if you have expertise and/or an interest in the social and environmental determinants of mental health.

Benefits: We offer excellent benefits and help our employees to develop in an open, respectful culture where differences are valued.

Applications details: To apply please upload your current CV and complete our short application. Interview dates: w/c 15th April.

Additional information: We are currently working 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) from our Euston Road offices (as part of our hybrid Ways of Working) with the remaining 3 days from home. Diversity and Inclusion is a priority at Wellcome. We are committed to cultivating a fair and inclusive environment, where everyone can be themselves and thrive.
