We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced marketing leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and drive sales growth at one of the UK’s most forward-thinking candle makers. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we prepare to launch our latest brand evolution and enter new markets.
Job role: You will be responsible for shaping and implementing our marketing strategy. You will play a key role in unlocking our next chapter of growth in the UK and internationally.
The role is based at our headquarters in North Cornwall, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Our new factory and offices, designed to be in harmony with our rural setting, are surrounded by nature and close to some of Cornwall’s most beautiful beaches. Lunchtime walks through country lanes and post-work sea swims/surfing are all possible.
The role will require some travel to attend tradeshows and industry events in the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a marketing strategy: Working closely with the senior team, create a marketing strategy that aligns with the company's long-term vision.
Increase brand awareness and drive sales growth: By building a comprehensive annual brand marketing plan that will facilitate growth and is aligned across all touchpoints.
Lead a high-performing team: Mentor and coach our small, ambitious marketing team. Establish clear individual goals and KPIs and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure the team's success.
Marketing Budget: Once the board has approved the annual marketing budget, you will decide how the budget will be allocated to best achieve the marketing strategy.
Develop our communications and brand voice: Evolve our communications and brand voice to align with our recently refreshed brand strategy.
Brand: Curate and control the brand guidelines. Ensure the brand is aligned across all touchpoints.
Relationships: Manage and build relationships with our agency partners.
Market Analysis: Understand the competitive landscape and market trends to adapt the marketing strategy as necessary. Provide forecasts based on market analysis.
Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer service, product development, planning and finance to innovate and drive sales growth by leveraging collective expertise.
Measuring success: Identify, implement, and monitor a set of marketing metrics that align with the marketing and brand strategy.
About you:
- Proven experience in a senior marketing role with experience in wholesale, retail and brand marketing
- Outstanding leadership, management and organisational skills
- Adept at analytics and strategic business planning
- Experienced at growing and developing a small team
- Proven experience of delivering significant online revenue growth by managing, developing, and implementing complex digital marketing strategies
- Ability to take the lead on website and application development strategies for all our sales channels (B2B, B2C, Apps)
- Proven ability to create and deliver successful PR and advertising strategies
- The experience to strike a fine balance between curating and controlling the brand strategy and at the same time, ensuring the St Eval brand is dynamic and responsive to the changing environment
- Innovative and growth-focused mindset
- Nice to have: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus
