Organisation summary: ISSOS provides a dynamic summer experience where students aged 13–18 from over 80 countries engage in academic, cultural, and fun activities at Cambridge and Yale Universities. It's a chance to be part of a global community that enriches the minds and lives of young people during their formative years.

  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK or the USA.

Accommodation and meals are provided, with travel reimbursements offered. A full criminal background check is required, and staff must be available for duty during scheduled evenings and special events.

The Organisation - ISSOS We are an international summer school offering a balanced summer program of academia, fun and culture for 13–18 year olds from over 80 nationalities, at Cambridge University in the UK and Yale University in the USA.

The Role - Outdoor Leadership Teacher As the Outdoor Leadership Teacher, you will develop and lead a unique 3-week course, which aims to help our students develop and build on essential life skills like communication, decision-making, teamwork and confidence. You will be teaching a class of international students, 3 hours per day, 4 afternoons per week for the duration of the 3-week programme. You will also be involved in evening activities on a compulsory rota basis.

Job Requirements Previous experience in an outdoor education role is essential. Previous teaching experience is also essential. Experience in teaching international students is preferred. You must be fluent in English. You must either be a UK or a US citizen, or have the legal right to work in the country you are applying for a role in. Please note that we cannot sponsor visas for working in the UK.

Benefits We provide accommodation in all locations for all staff. Meals are provided in the halls of residence once students arrive, however, staff are responsible for their meals during Orientation. We also offer travel reimbursements.

Additional Information All of our staff must pass a full criminal background check. All staff are required to be on duty (on a rota basis) for evening programmes, activities, day trips and arrival/departure days.
