Volunteer Project Director / trustee - CIC

What will you be doing?

We are seeking an interim CEO to progress our CIC and enhance the services we offer  to our community members whilst creating a sustainable model for our organisation going forward.   Sherwood Park Hall is a small community centre based in the Borough of Merton. We deliver community programmes and hall hire for local residents.   We have a strong projection for the future of the hall and need the experience and expertise of someone who has the vision and passion to move these plans forward.  This is an opportunity to make a positive difference to a community that is underdeveloped and historically has lacked the resources to thrive.   An understanding of community and charitable organisation management would serve well in this role along with experience managing budgets and working with diverse communities.   Your role would include:  Creating a strategy for growth and financial security Applying for funding Liaising with  community projects and practitioners to ensure the space is utilised offering a varied timetable of events Maintaining strategic partnerships with the local council and volunteer sector Consulting with community stakeholders Overseeing hiring and training staff Management of Sherwood Park Hall CIC including budget  Maintaining the grounds    Essential skills
