Change Please is an innovative social enterprise dedicated to tackling homelessness through the power of award-winning coffee. Since its inception in Covent Garden in 2015, the enterprise has expanded internationally, using profits from coffee sales and fundraising efforts to offer comprehensive support to individuals experiencing homelessness. This includes barista training, employment at a living wage, counselling, financial guidance, housing support, and further employment opportunities.

  • Implement the Change Please model throughout Ireland, starting with Dublin and expanding to Belfast.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local authorities, referral partners, and employment partners.
  • Create a robust 'Impact Infrastructure' to support the model's expansion and effectiveness.
  • Develop relationships with various referral partners and employment services.
  • Recruit and provide full support to trainees throughout their journey.
  • Facilitate workshops and secure employment opportunities for graduates.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • Team player with resilience and a user-centered approach.
  • Experience in employability support and transitioning individuals into permanent roles.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with partners and employers.

This role is based in Dublin with required travel across Ireland and Northern Ireland, and occasional travel to London. We support work-life balance and provide advance notice for travel to accommodate personal commitments.

Change Please is a social enterprise that has grown from a small cart selling coffee in Covent Garden in 2015 to an international business. Our aim is to end homelessness in every market we’re in. We use all the profits from our award-winning coffee sales to achieve this aim. This, and the money raised by our fundraising team, allows us to support people experiencing homelessness by providing barista training, living wage employment, access to counselling, therapy, financial wellbeing and guidance, housing support, and onward employment opportunities with our incredible partners.

The role we are offering is a Regional Programme Manager. The objective of this role is to help us roll out the Change Please Foundation into, and across, the Island of Ireland. We have a proven blueprint and a model that works; we intend to deploy Change Please’ model of Impact into Ireland, which will allow us to widen our reach. We need to build strong working relationships with referral partners, local authority bodies and onward employment partners to allow our model to work. We will be looking to set up an ‘Impact Infrastructure’ in Dublin with a move to Belfast following that.

Job requirements include forging relationships with a variety of referral partners, including charities and Job Centres, recruiting suitable and work-ready trainees, fully supporting the trainee Journey, assisting with external factors potentially impacting their performance whilst training, delivering workshops, and seeking out job opportunities for graduate trainees.

The ideal candidate will need a Positive, ‘can do’ attitude, be a Team Player, have Resilience, keep our service users at the heart of all we do, have experience of employability support and moving service users into permanent jobs, and be able to build relationships with referral partners and onwards employers.

This role will be based in Dublin with travel to other locations across Ireland & Northern Ireland likely. There will also be some travel to London occasionally involving an overnight stay. We appreciate some applicants may have caring commitments and will therefore aim to support where possible, giving you plenty of advance notice for travel dates, to mutually agree on these dates together and be as flexible as possible with travel times.
