The British Museum is seeking an Exhibitions Assistant to provide administrative and project support in relation to the successful development and delivery of the Museum’s programme of temporary exhibitions and displays.
The role: You will be assigned specific exhibition projects to support, as well as being asked to assist with day-to-day administration of the department, including finances and accurate record keeping, and assisting the Head of Exhibitions and Exhibitions management team when required. Key areas of responsibility include providing general support functions for exhibition project teams, acting as a key liaison for colleagues across the Museum in support of exhibition projects, and operating departmental administrative processes that comply with overall Museum standards and processes.
Job requirements: You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, proven organisational and administrative experience, and the ability to prioritise and meet multiple deadlines. Proficiency in a range of standard software practices including MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
