Role Requirements:
- Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
- Experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and forecasting.
- Understanding of the European energy & utility market, retail energy setting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in data processing and analysis tools like SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the EMEA region.

Your role as a Forecasting Analyst in our Applications Team, you'll be at the heart of our mission to redefine energy retail solutions. By forecasting things better, we can enable end users to maximise the potential of intermittent renewable energy. Your role is pivotal in shaping the future of forecasting models, ensuring our products meet and exceed the energy sector's evolving needs.
Your responsibilities include Model Definition, Data insights, Collaborative Innovation, Quality Assurance, Documentation, and Knowledge Exchange. You will be at the forefront of designing forecasting solutions for the energy industry. Define and evaluate the performance of energy forecasting pipelines for gas, electricity and renewables. You are skilled in data analysis and data visualisation. You can convert model outputs and statistical test results into valuable insights for our customers.
Requirements for this role include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and forecasting experience is considered an asset. European energy & utility market knowledge and expertise, preferably experience in a retail energy setting. Nice to have some experience in data processing and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A critical thinker with a passion for data and analytics. A collaborative team player who thrives in dynamic environments. A detail-oriented individual with a knack for problem-solving. Eager to be part of a team shaping the energy sector's future. You are a people person, just as much as a subject matter expert.
